| Mary´s Cabin |
![]() Mary had a dream to create a get-a-way for herself and the guests of Nimpo Lake Resort. Her dream was to provide a truly natural place where her guests could fully experience the untarnished beauty of the Cariboo-Chilcotin without the interruptions of everyday activity. Mary chose an uncharted area high in the mountains, accessible only by float plane. This beautiful location, approximately 30 miles away from Nimpo Lake is now known as Kerner Lake. Kerner Lake's Elevation is 5800 feet above sea level. The ice went off the lake on June 28th, 2000, allowing the six day cabin delivery and set up to begin on July 2, 2000. Once the location was chosen, the next challenge was to provide a shelter for her guests without causing unsightly disturbances to the natural landscape. That's where Pioneer Log Homes came in. Mary's cabin was handcrafted at our Williams Lake Site then trucked to Wilderness Rim Resort at Nimpo Lake. It was then loaded piece by piece on float planes and helicopters and flown to its' new home. Involved in the remote delivery were two Beavers, a French A Star Chopper, a Super Cub, and a 185 Cessna. In total, there were 11 Beaver Loads, 5 Chopper Loads, 15 Super Cub Loads and 45 Thermoses of Coffee hauled to the site. A team of friends and neighbors flew to the beautiful site and together set up Mary's Cabin. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make Mary's dream a reality. Without these special people this project would not have been possible. Special thanks to: Be Sure to Visit Beautiful Nimpo Lake We recommend: |
